NASHVILLE, Tn -   Scotty McCreery just released his Sophomore Album. "You are always a little nervous making a record. You are making it for the fans and radio and you are wanting them and the critics to like it, but I was more excited than anything" says Scotty McCreery.

Compared to his big debut album things are different this go round. "With the first album we came off show and went straight to the Idol tour and were making the album in between. With this one we took more than a year. We really took our time" says Scotty.

This sophomore album is Scotty's chance to showcase his creativity, he wrote about 20 songs and 5 made the final cut, including the first single and title track "See You Tonight". "It was the one that stood out. The best overall represenation of what this album was gonna be about."

The album also reflects a more grown up Scotty. "From 17 to 20 there is a big difference. There was a lot that I learned. At 20 I've found out more about myself as a person and an aritst and that refelcts in the record."

Scotty does have a favorite song on the album. He says he really relates to Carolina Moon ."It's about getting on the road. The least and best part is traveling. I love seeing the cities but sometimes you are homesick and wanna come home a few days and chill."

Scotty is currently living those lyrics.  On the road from city to city and then Vegas in Decmeber for the American Country Awards (ACA's).
Scotty is a Breakthrough Artist nominee. He says he looks forward to reuniting with his Fox family. "That awards show is special to me cause that is where my start was." he says.

Most Sophomores in college aren't on the road pushing a Sophomore album, but Scotty says he wouldn't have it any other way.  "We have had a great year and with this new record I'm hoping we can break through a little further"
