Country star Ray Price Did Not Pass Away Despite Reports

UPDATE: Despite reports to the contrary, country music star Ray Price did not pass away yesterday. The reports arose after Price's son Clifton wrote he believed his father had passed. However, Clifton took to his Facebook page to state he had "been deceived" by some some "cruel people." While Price is still alive, his son says he is "barely hanging on."

Janie Price cleared the air with a statement Price was still alive and added legend Willie Nelson had called and was able to say goodbye last night. 

MT. PLEASANT, Texas - An update on Country Music Hall of Famer Ray Price. Monday we told you Price was back in the hospital for a serious blood infection. He was already battling pancreatic cancer. Price is back at home on his ranch in Mt. Pleasant, Texas tonight under hospice care. His wife Janie posted a message on Facebook today asking fans to please keep Ray in your prayers.

Price's hits include "For the Good Times", "Crazy Arms" and "Heartaches by the Numbers".
