LAS VEGAS, Nevada - In tonight's MUSIC CITY BEAT, the 4th Annual American Country Awards on FOX just wrapped up a little over an hour ago in Las Vegas. Following his lead from last year, Luke Bryan walks away a big winner once again this year. Luke won several pre-show awards, but also took home 2 of the night's biggest, including Male Artist of the Year and Artist of the Year. Luke holds a record right now for the male to win the most ACA's. Luke thanked everyone from his fans, wife, managers, label and even bus driver! At the end of his Artist of the Year speech, he said hello to his kids, letting them know that even though they are in Vegas tonight they will be back in town tomorrow to be at their Christmas party! Florida Georgia Line was another big winner this year. They accepted the award for Single of the Year for their hit song "Cruise". They also took home several pre-show awards including Radio Track by a New Artist, Radio Track of the Year, Single Video by a New Artist, Music Video by a New Artist and New Artist of the Year.
Another shining moment of the night wasn't an award, but a performance. The ACA's honored Patsy Cline. It's been 50 years since her death. Leann Rimes did the tribute, half of which was in black and white, and became emotional as she ended the tribute in tears. A couple other big wins. Miranda Lambert takes home Female Artist of the Year, Lady A is this year's Group of the Year, Blake Shelton wins Album of the Year and Single by a Male Artist.
