FRANKLIN, Tenn. - Add political candidate to the list. Victoria Jackson is best known for her time on Saturday Night Live. Now the comedic actress wants to win your vote. Jackson is running for office in Williamson County. Last Wednesday Jackson threw her hat in the ring, hoping to be one of your next Williamson County Commissioners. Victoria Jackson was a hit on Saturday Night Live in the late 80s and early 90s. From there, it was onto the political front, getting her point across. Victoria Jackson is not shy about taking those bold and controversial statements on to network news. Now Jackson is preparing to run as an Independent for one of 2 seats on the Williamson County Commission representing District 2.
We showed some of Jackson's tv appearances to County Commissioner Betsy Hester. Hester holds the District 2 seat and is up for re-election. If she wins the Republican Primary, she'll go up against Jackson in the general election in August.
