JESSE JAMES APOLOGIZES
UNDATED (AP) -- Sandra Bullock has gotten a public apology from her husband. Though he doesn't say exactly what he's apologizing for, Jesse James says, quote, "it's because of my poor judgment that I deserve everything bad that is coming my way. This has caused my wife and kids pain and embarrassment beyond comprehension and I am extremely saddened to have brought this on them." It sounds like he doesn't expect Bullock to take him back so fast, if ever, because he adds he hopes "one day they can find it in their hearts to forgive" him. As for why he's apologizing, James says "the vast majority of the allegations reported are untrue and unfounded." A tatted-up woman in her mid-20s claims to have had an affair with Jesse James that went on for 11 months while Bullock was away filming the movie she won her Oscar for: "The Blind Side."
"AMERICAN IDOL" - RYAN SEACREST MESS UP
UNDATED (AP) -- Maybe Ryan Seacrest got a little confused Wednesday night when he tweeted that "American Idol" cast-off Lacey Brown would be on his radio show Thursday morning. Maybe he forgot that, even though he was in Los Angeles, Idol hadn't even aired on the West Coast when he let his three-million Twitter followers know who had been voted off. Some of them were furious and vowed not to watch Wednesday night since he had ruined the surprise. It showed in the ratings, which were down, though it's not known if that's the reason. <

"THE BOUNTY HUNTER" - JENNIFER ANISTON
LONDON (AP) -- Jennifer Aniston was scared riding in a speeding car that crashed into another car in "The Bounty Hunter." She says she's never been in a car going that fast. "DIARY OF A WIMPY KID" - ZACHARY GORDON
NEW YORK (AP) -- When Zachary Gordon read "Diary of a Wimpy Kid," he wanted to make the movie all by himself. He wanted to produce it, direct it, star in it and write the screenplay. He was way too young to do that. But by the time he turned 11, he landed an audition to play the lead. Gordon says he did everything he could to make sure he got the role. He slept with the book under his pillow and prayed. It worked. Diary of a Wimpy Kid opens today.
"BREAKING BAD" - BRYAN CRANSTON
PASADENA, Calif. (AP) -- The transformation of Bryan Cranston continues. Actually, it's his chemistry-teacher character, Walt, on "Breaking Bad" who's going through more changes. Cranston says that's one of the reasons he took the part to begin with is because the show's creator told him "he wanted to turn Mr. Chips into Scarface." Season 3 of "Breaking Bad" begins Sunday on AMC. <
ROMAN POLANSKI
LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Roman Polanski's attorneys say there's new evidence from the original prosecutor in the case that he tried to disqualify the original judge in 1977. It was supposedly on grounds of misconduct. But, he was ordered by his superiors not to try to have that judge removed. For this reason, Polanski's lawyers have filed an appeal asking that a special counsel be appointed to investigate alleged judicial and prosecutorial misconduct. Polanski's lawyers also are accusing the current prosecutor of giving false information to Swiss authorities to support Polanski's extradition to the United States. Polanski's lawyers say it was known that his potential sentence did not fall within Swiss requirements for extradition. That is: the original judge had intended for Polanski to serve no more than 90 days in prison when he pleaded guilty to unlawful sex with a 13-year-old girl. Swiss authorities have said they will extradite Polanski only if they know he will be sentenced to at least six months behind bars.

His mother says he's only written about Trump on the Internet and hasn't come close to her.
