Meet a special hero running Nashville's St. Jude Marathon
NASHVILLE, Tenn.--Only on Fox 17, you're getting to meet one very special Saint Jude hero who's running in the big race tomorrow.
The Saint Jude Rock and Roll Marathon and half marathon starts just after seven Saturday morning in Downtown Nashville. It's a race that's expected to raise $2 million dollars for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Several St. Jude supporters and former patients turned out to feast on this pasta party Friday night to get all carbed up for the race.
Carlos Sepulveda is running to thank St. Jude for saving his life and adds, "Knowing St. Jude was there for me in such a difficult time of my life and just how easy they made probably the most difficult moment of my life is something really special and makes me really passionate about the cause and makes me passionate about running this race tomorrow."
Sepulveda had a soft tissue cancer during his senior year of college. Saint Jude's pioneering protocols cured him.
That's what St. Jude's Dream Home campaign is all about--- raising more research dollars to save more children like Carlos.
