CMT draws big stars for free concerts in celebration of music awards

CMA Fest officially starts on Wednesday, but CMT is celebrating its music awards all week.

The first-ever "CMT Crossroads" kicks off at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. The event features Grammy-Award winners Earth, Wind & Fire and friends including Lady Antebellum, Darius Rucker, Rascal Flatts, Martina McBride, Dan + Shay, Drake White, and Sara Evans. Fans are encouraged to arrive at 7:30 p.m. at the outdoor stage at 5th and Demonbreun. The even is on a first-come, first-served basis with standing room only.

CMT is teaming up with Bar-S foods to host a two-day block party at Brigdestone Arena. The party runs Tuesday and Wednesday from noon to 5. Fans will get the chance to meet emerging Nashville artists with performances by Michael Tyler, Jillian Jacqueline and Jacob Davis on Tuesday and Seth Ennis, Carly Pearce and Runaway June on Wednesday. The event is free and open to the public.

CMT is teaming up with "Daybreaker" to host another event from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. Wednesday morning at Schermerhorn Symphony Center

The morning will be filled with surprise guests and performances, beginning with Yoga at 6 a.m. and followed by a dance party with DJ Alyx Ander from 7-9 a.m. Event is free and open to the public. For more details, click here.

From 6 to 10 p.m. fans can still have a chance to be part of the CMT Music Awards at an outdoor stage 5th Avenue (between Demonbreun and Korean Veteran’s Blvd).

Kelsea Ballerini will debut a new song, while Brothers Osborne will perform with rock icon Peter Frampton. There will also be a viewing party of the entire live show on an outdoor screen. Fans are asked to arrive by 6 p.m. for show at 7 p.m. with live performances in the 7 and 9 p.m. hours.

Martin's BBQ in downtown Nashville will also be hosting a CMT Music Awards viewing party.
